When it comes to online learning, the teachers, advisors are knowledgeable and helpful. They are with you every step of the way. I would highly recommend the school to anyone thinking about Medical Billing. Check with your advisor as often as you can and ask what to do after you graduate. They will direct you exactly how you need to be directed in other to start you career after graduation.

I am in my first module at LTI Lincoln, and although there are several immature people that like to waste the classtime by complaining about the grade the teacher gave them, or arguing about the absence policies.. I feel like I am getting the education I paid for so far. It is completely annoying how many of the students act like they are in elementary school instead of college... but there will always be people in the world that you wouldn't chose to be in the same room with, and it's part of life to deal with it. As long as you're willing to rise above the high school drama that goes on in this school, i would recommend it.

I enrolled in the campus in Pennsauken not being legally of age. I was 15 and they allow this to happen. I had to drop out and believe me when i tell you there was no help, concern or even advise to help me. I owe appr 22,000 dollars in student loan that originally was for 2,500. I am seeking legal advise. I would advise you to check others colleges and technical schools.

I went to this school in 2003-2004, and when i registered, I was told that when I graduated I could open my own business and be making $15-25, but that was not the case. When I did graduate I was laughed out of businesses when I told them where I went, and I was told that hardly anybody trusted Lincoln Tech Graduates. To this day, I have never had an opportunity to work in my field, and I wasted over $12,000 dollars in tuition for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

When I tried to use the job placement program, and they actually sent me on an interview, the job had been filled weeks ahead of time. I have not had any success with the job placement at all.

I can supply you with the names of the companies who told me that Lincoln Tech was not trustworthy.

I now go to school here and realize lincoln is not a school, but rather a business. the admissions department recruits people who do not even speak English just so they can get bonuses. There have been fights involving the police at this school. The students' language is foul...you would think they are off the street. Most have kids and are not married, and some even fight with each other. They know nothing of professionalism. Some of the employees in education are sexist and racist at the Paramus Campus.

I attended the local "campus" for LTI. I found it not to be worth the time or the money. And I didn't pay for most of it, the State of NJ did.

Most instructors were just hanging out. Not all, but most. Most employers in this area felt the same. I did well there, averaging in the 90's for all the classes I took. I also did well in the NATE exams. Unfortunately, quite a few of the instructors I had were failing the same Nate exams that I was passing. I also found out later, that I was outscoring instructors on the same in school exams

Most people that I know that went there, went on to other fields. If I had to do it all over again, I would have found an employer willing to hire a beginner, joined the local RSES chapter, and used the RSES materials to learn the trade from a theory point.

It's kind of hard to learn to braze copper tubing when on the day of the class, they have no gas to braze with and they don't have enough copper for everyone to make the project. Same thing happened in the Workplace class. No sheet metal and no tools. You had to bring in your own, or learn nothing.

The instructor said to complain to the school so the next class wouldn't have this problem. The last class was told to do the same thing. Even though the state paid for most of it and supported me the entire time I went there, in the long run, it was not worth it.

Overall positive experience. Professors were accessible, particularly through email or occasional phone call. Little classmate interaction. Online journal articles through library very helpful.

Degree in Automotive Technology

I went to the Philadelphia campus Received the degree in automotive technology. I found the online learning experience to be very efficient. The tutorials and examples were very pertinent. Having had some background in the automotive industry I did not find the course ware to be over my head. It was challenging but not overwhelming.

I did not interact with my classmates very much but did have quite a few good interaction with the professors-they were extremely knowledgeable and quick to respond to any questions and comments that I posted. I would rate my overall experience 4 out of 5 stars-the only reason is that I always believe there is room for improvement. Part of that is what I learned from Dr Demings continuous improvement cycle-plan-do-check-act. It can apply to every facet of life.

My Lincoln Tech experience did prepare me for my career, it carries credentials which are favored by employers and made me a desirable asset by my employer. I would recommend to anyone thinking about online learning to give Lincoln a chance.
