Overview
Founded in 1922 in Kansas City and with a campus in Los Angeles, CA, since 1955, the Cleveland Chiropractic College has a long and rich history as a pioneer in the field of chiropractic and chiropractic education. For more than eight decades, the institution has been the leader of the chiropractic science, philosophy and art, as more than one in every 10 chiropractors practicing in North America is a Cleveland graduate. A private, not-for-profit system of higher education, Cleveland Chiropractic College prepares competent, entry-level students as health care providers, offers continuing education for doctors of chiropractic, and provides undergraduate education in selected biological sciences.
Student Appeal
At Cleveland, technique courses are the backbone of the curricula, and patient care is the heart. All health care educational programs begin with the basic sciences of anatomy, physiology and biochemistry, integrated with practical, useful clinical applications. The small-sized classes are just 16 weeks in length, and students can begin working in as little as four months. The Career Resources Program in L.A. provides students the skills they need to succeed in the real world of private practice, and an opportunity to be a part of the Venice Family Clinic Wellness and Integrative Medicine Treatment Center, the nation's largest free clinic in the United States, and the USC University Park Health Center.
Financial
Cleveland Chiropractic College offers many kinds of assistance to students who need financial support to continue their education. Qualified applicants can participate in federally-funded and state-supported grant and loan programs. There are a variety of scholarships and grants awarded by the institution, as well as various chiropractic organizations and other donors.
